Flights to and from London's Luton Airport are expected to return to normal today following an incident yesterday where a private jet overshot the runway.
Yesterday lunchtime, a Challenger 600 jet on a private flight from Germany, overshot the runway becoming stuck in mud.
The airfield was closed for several hours whilst air accident investigators attended and the plane was removed. No-one is reported to have been injured.
Easyjet
Low cost airline Easyjet and other carriers were forced to cancel at least 12 flights yesterday, managing to operate others by diverting to London Stansted. Passengers were provided with transport between Stansted and Luton.
If you have been affected by the disruption, airlines are obliged to offer assistance to you. If your flight has been cancelled then you are entitled to either a full refund or re-routing, whichever you prefer. Compensation would not be payable by the airline under these circumstances.
